Read Mark 3 and notice: What initially impacts you in this chapter? Record in your journal.
Reread as often as necessary to notice: How are each of the following people resonding to Jesus? What might have they been feeling? How does Jesus respond to each of these persons/groups? Imagine his emotions. Create a chart to journal your observations.
- The crowds
- Persons with physical needs
- The unclean spirits
- The twelve he appointed
- The teachers of the Law – Scribes, Pharisees, Herodians
- Jesus’ birth family
Respond: What questions arise as you read how others responded to Jesus? With which group can you most easily identify? How are you moved to respond now?
